Horace Peter Deloatch, 85, of Roanoke Rapids, died Monday, April 20, 2015.

Horace, a native of Halifax County, was the son of the late Charles Cecil and Lydia Jordan Deloatch.

He served his country in the United States Army and was a member of New Testament Christian Church.

He is survived by his wife, Shirley Baggett Deloatch; his son, Kenny Deloatch and his wife, Tammy of Roanoke Rapids; his grandsons, Ryan Deloatch and his wife, Ashley of Greenville, NC, and Jordan Deloatch of Greenville, NC; his great grandson, Holden Deloatch; his granddaughters, Paula Crowley and Marcie Crowley; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 22, 2015 at 11:00 AM at the chapel of Askew Funeral and Cremation Services with Minister Daniel West officiating. Burial will follow at Cedarwood Cemetery in Roanoke Rapids.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, April 21, 2015 from 7:00 to 8:00 PM at Askew Funeral and Cremation Services.
